One Step Closer

While working on our homestudy we have also been working really hard on raising money to help bring our baby home.  So here is an update of what we have been up to this summer.  

The first garage sale was held in June, we put out the word that we were going to have a sale and people started donating like mad.  We were so blessed by the response, God is awesome and we are so thankful for all the donations.  We priced everything inividually and also had a bake sale that Eliza was in charge of.

Garage Sale #2

Our second garage sale was in September and we did NOT price anything just asked for donations, did not have a bake sale and had so much stuff I vowed to never do another garage sale again.  People seemed to be more generous when asked to "name your own price" and that they knew the money was going to something really awesome.

Carwash

The carwash was in August and was a lot less work than the garage sales.  We had it at Paul's work and he had a few co-workers that were so nice to come out and help.  We could not have done it without them.

The Crew



We have seen God's hand in everyone of these events and are just so thankful for His faithfulness.  He is leading us on this journey and we KNOW He will provide.  His timing is perfect and we are just resting and trusting in HIM.  We are also so thankful for everybody who has been involved so far from buying jam to donating yard sale items to just making cash donations.  We are one step closer to bringing our baby home.

This sign was donated to us by the awesome people at Sign Pro.  We have used it at all of our events and it has been a great tool to get out the word.  We made it generic so other adoptive families could also use it.

$1708 closer to bringing our baby home.

We have a lot more to raise but we know God is faithful and He WILL provide.
