One Day Without Shoes {Recap}

47 degrees

Cloudy with 100% chance of RAIN

Walking around the house without shoes is no problem.....we never wear shoes in our house anyway.  Walking into stores and through parking lots...now thats another story.

I seriously was thinking about shoes ALL day.  This is what our entry to our back door looks like.

We have so many shoes!!!
I have 12 pairs of shoes in there..... and I am not even a shoe person.  I wear the same pair of shoes almost everyday.  Its wierd how when you go without something you really think about it.

I had a few errands to do, so the girls and I headed out.... SHOE-LESS!!!
First stop was the fabric store.  I am going to attempt to make the girls Easter skirts, so I let them pick out their fabric....  with some assistance of course.

We got A LOT of stares but nobody said a word.

Have I told you how cool my Mom is???  Anyway she is.  She is always game for anything.  She even went shoe-less!!!

**Also my super awesome sister went shoe-less too!!!

It was a really eye opening day.  How something like shoes can consume your thoughts when you don't have any.  Toms shoes is doing fantastic work with their One for One program.  I can't wait to get my first pair!!! (like I need more shoes..ha!)  and also be sending a Brand New pair to a child who has none.  Maybe your next pair of shoes can be TOMS!!

ONE Day without Shoes

So today is the day!!!

We are going without shoes to raise awarenss and take a stand for those who don't have a choice.  We definitly take shoes for granted.  

Which shoes, out of your 20 pairs, are you going to where today??  

A lot of people don't have that choice or even the simple choice of shoes or no shoes.

The kids are really excited about this, I on the other hand am a little nervous. 

Not sure why. 

We will go without shoes for the majority of  the day... yes even in the rain (except my soccer game tonight, I really don't want a broken toe).

So the question is- 

Will you go without shoes for a day????
